Below are a few suggestions that may help with shaping that successful year we all are looking for: Share a positive attitude Exude a positive attitude about school. Three Forks Elementary is starting to gear up for the 2024-2025 school year. One of the funnest parts about this preparation is kindergarten screening. Kindergarten Screening is held each year to assist TFES staff with identifying the development of incoming K students. It also provides a great opportunity to give some helpful information to parents. If you live within the Three Forks District and have a child that will be 5 by September 10th, it is highly encouraged to have your child attend screening. Screening will take place on May 1st and... If you have not already, you should be soon receiving a mail-in ballot from Gallatin County. Three Forks School District has been working to provide valuable information to voters to assist them with making an informed decision. The biggest piece of advice that I can share is to vote!! In the 2022 spring election Three Forks School District only had approximately 900 voters participate. These numbers are extremely low and we ENCOURAGE you to get out and vote. Ballots can either be mailed or dropped off at the Gallatin County Elections Office,... Full story
The 22-23 school year is now 4 weeks in, and things are rolling along. We had a lot of new changes to routine due to completed and continual construction. Our new student drop-off / pick-up seems to be working well. Traffic has been safe, orderly and efficient. It is important to know that a new stop sign has been added at the intersection of East Oak and 5th Avenue. This new addition should help with traffic flow and safety. Thank you to everyone for their diligence and patience with this new transition. The new parking lot to the northeast... Full story
Three Forks Schools continues to evaluate current practices with the goal of a safe and productive environment for both students and staff. One modification to current safety protocols that was implemented prior to coming back from winter break was a more controlled entry to the school. Moving forward the TFS campus entrances will remain locked during school hours. Main doors will be unlocked at arrival and dismissal, but will remain locked throughout the remainder of the school day and also during after school program hours. There is a...
TFS teachers and staff took part in a PIR professional development session this past Friday. These PIR days provide a great opportunity to bring in experts from around the state that can share their insight and talents on a variety of topics, allowing staff to “sharpen the saw” so to speak. This PIR day was focused on social emotional learning (SEL). One specific session caught my attention and was well worth a share to our TFES parents. The session was led by Lauren Davis of MSU, with the key topic being trauma informed strategies. Lau...
We are over a month into the 21-22 school year and we don’t want to waste anytime in recognizing our amazing elementary students. At TFES we have multiple ways for students to be recognized for their efforts. The “high frequency” incentive program that we run is our “Positive Paws” program. Throughout each day students have opportunities where they can be caught doing the right thing. When this happens staff will give students a positive paw. Students then turn these into their classroom and a weekly drawing is held to recognize one student f...
