    The Three Forks High School boys basketball defeated rival Manhattan last Saturday to capture the 5B District Tournament title. Led by an unbelievable 34-point performance from Micaiah Hauser, the Wolves (17-3) defeated the rival Tigers 55-51 at the Belgrade Events Center to claim the championship.     The Three Forks School Board of Trustees unanimously voted last week to offer Superintendent Jeff Elliott a contract for next school year. Vice-Chair Lori Sayers reported that Elliott's closed session evaluation in January went very well. "We feel proud that he is a part of our school," she said.   • Our View: New Seats Great for Arena

    The Three Forks Rodeo Arena may soon be receiving a major upgrade with 2,286 new seats. The City Council voted last week 5-0 in favor of adding the seats. Mayor Sean Gifford will still need to sign the contract for it to move forward. This would be a really great upgrade for a facility that was utilized for 35 different events during the 50-day season in 2019.     The Three Forks High School girls basketball team is headed back to the Southern B Divisional Tournament. The third-seeded Wolves finished second at last week's 5B District Tournament. Three Forks won two at the tournament with an opening-round 54-46 win over rival Manhattan and a 36-25 semifinal win over second-seeded Whitehall.     2 local businesses recently stepped up for the benefit of Willow Creek School. NW Pipe of Belgrade and Three Forks Plumbing donated three water-bottle filling stations and labor.
