  • Opinion: Daines, Risch response to Haaland editorial

    U.S Senators Steve Daines and Jim Risch|Apr 13, 2022

Idaho and Montana’s successful recovery of the gray wolf was a significant achievement in species conservation. In less than ten years, not only were biological recovery targets for gray wolves met, they were exceeded. Unfortunately, delisting of the wolf has been mired in politics rather than informed by science. Last month, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland authored an editorial, devoid of facts but flushed with alarmist rhetoric, perpetuating the false narrative that Idaho and Montana’s wildlife management policies are driving gray wolves to ex...

  • Column: Poppers

    Jack H. Smith, Three Forks Voice|Apr 13, 2022

The older I get, the less social life I have, and I am completely okay with this. I remember often being told that I was a “social butterfly,” but those days are long gone, and I’m fine with getting done with work and getting into pajamas hours before the sun goes down without worrying about hosting anyone. I figure I’m out in public enough for work that when I’m home, I just want to relax and not worry about anything but what to watch on tv. Every once in a while, I will emerge from my very comfortable cocoon and invite some friends or family... Full story

Ellie West, Coaching Heart to Heart|Apr 13, 2022

Being in the so-called “glamorous” industry for the last 4 decades, I would love to share what I have learned in regards to comparisons. Has it been an easy lesson to learn? Absolutely not, and I am still learning! We are all human and there is so much that we desire for ourselves. I grew up with 7 siblings and it seem...
