The City of Three Forks will soon have a new Mayor. Current Mayor Steven Hamilton announced last week he would be resigning from the position effective June 2. Three Forks High School and Middle School will have a new principal for the 2019-20 school year. The school board of trustees approved Tuesday night the resignation of 6-12 Principal Justin Helvik who will be taking a position as the assistant principal at Bozeman High School. Ten athletes will represent Three Fork High School at the Class B State Tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Kalispell. The athletes qualified by finishing in the top eight at last week's Southern B Divisional Meet in Laurel or during the season with a state qualifying mark. Three Forks High School freshman Jasmyn Murphy has been selected as one of five finalists in the annual Big Sky State Games National Anthem Contest. The contest winner will perform at the 34th Annual Big Sky State Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 19th at Wendy’s Field at Daylis Stadium in Billings.
