    The City of Three Forks has a new Mayor. The governing body voted 4-2 Tuesday night to appoint Sean Gifford to fill the position vacated by Steven Hamilton earlier this month. His term will expire at the end of 2019 and he has filed to run for the position in the election scheduled for later this year.     There were plenty of smiles last Saturday at the Imerys Talc Community Days event in Three Forks. According to Operations Manager (Montana Mills) Mike Mulder, the event featured new bike raffles, a hazard hunt in work environment, safety word games and puzzles to qualify for a range of raffle items, mill tours, a bounce house, a huge inflatable slide, and lunch catered by Blue Moose BBQ.   • Organizers looks for help for All-Class Reunion

    With the 2020 All School Reunion a little over a year away, organizers are seeking help to spread word about the event. The reunion is scheduled to take place Friday, July 17, 2020 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The reunion will take place the weekend of the rodeo at the John Q.     The 2018 Annual Report from the Montana Department of Transportation once again showed alarming statistics involving deaths related to drugs and alcohol. In the report, Montana Highway Patrol Colonel Tom Butler said the 2018 data suggest "Driving Under the Influence" as a serious contributing circumstance in fatal crashes.
