The 2024 season-opening exhibition at Aunt Dofe's Gallery in Willow Creek is set to open later this week. At a meeting last week, the Gallatin County Commission approved using $100,000 in Open Lands Program funding for the Headwaters Trails System in Three Forks. The funding will be used to maintain over four miles of trail in three different sections: from the Madison River pedestrian bridge east to where the trail terminates, from the Drouillard Fishing Access site to Kansas Street in Three Forks, and from Hickory Street south to the base-ball fields. Three Forks Schools will be offering a summer drivers education course. The class will run June 17-July 24th. All classes will be two hours (8-10am). The first two weeks will be M-F and after that M-Th. No class on Thursday July 4th. The last two classes will be 8-9 am. Drives will be after class and possibly on the weekend. There will be plenty of great shopping this Saturday in Three Forks, with Rusty Bucket Antiques hosting its first Flea Market of 2024. The Flea Market is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of the store located at 16 E. Cedar. Montana State University Extension has selected Teri Antilley to be the next director of the Montana 4-H Center for Youth Development. As director, Antilley will provide leadership and establish strategic direction for the center and for all 4-H programs. She will also serve as the state 4-H program leader. There was fantastic news for the Three Forks and Willow Creek School Districts last week. On Thursday, April 18, the Producer Partnership delivered 931 pounds of top-quality USDA-inspected protein to Willow Creek and 1,185 pounds to Three Forks. The Holy Family Altar Society is hosting a Spring Fundraiser later this month. A lasagna dinner is scheduled for Sunday, April 28, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holy Family Social Hall, 104 E. March ended with 19 emergency responses. Five transports to Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center were aided by AMR paramedics due to needed pain management. TFAA EMTs did six more transports to BDRMC. TFAA did two standbys at fires to support Three Forks Volunteer Fire Department. The rest of the calls were for refusals of transport and unfortunately one DOA.
