  • Flood Mitigation Project: City submits SRF Loan Application

    Last week, the Three Forks City Council unanimously voted to apply for a $3 million loan with 2.5 percent interest from the State Revolving Fund. The municipality would use the money as part of a Flood Mitigation Project to create a conveyance channel and culvert crossing mitigation option designed to capture overflow flooding from the Jefferson River before reaching the City of Three Forks.     In between sets of tumbling warmups, Adrienne Prashar crossed the gym to where she had stashed her diabetes supplies and tested her blood sugar. Prashar, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes the day before her 13th birthday, said tumbling usually drops her blood sugar levels. The closure will go into effect to allow for the replacement of the Meridian Bridge, a two-span steel truss bridge constructed in 1914.     The Gallatin County Commission voted last week to approve new legislative precinct boundaries. With the approval, the number of precincts in Gallatin County has grown from 32 to 46.
