It was another week of numerous personal bests for the Three Forks High School Track and Field Team. Head Coach Casey McWethy said the team had 31 PRs at Saturday's meet in Laurel. Three Forks impressively opened the week, with the boys finishing third and the girls fourth in a field of 23 teams at the John Cheek Top Eight event in Anaconda. It was a busy weekend with plenty of impressive results for the Three Forks High School Tennis team at last week’s DawgBite Invitational, with the Wolves winning 22 matches over two days. In their most dominant performance to date, the Three Forks High School Softball team picked up another win last week with a 21-1 road victory Friday against Deer Lodge. According to Head Coach Clay Feliciano, the Wolves racked up 11 hits and committed no errors in three innings. What started out as a frosty morning on the course ended up as an absolutely beautiful day in Ennis, with some great scores coming in on the Three Forks squad. The 2023 rodeo season in Three Forks begins this week. The annual Three Forks High School and Junior High Rodeo are scheduled for Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, at the Rodeo Grounds. The Three Forks High School Softball team continued to make waves during its inaugural season, picking up three victories last week at a two-day tournament with games in Missoula and Florence. While the weather has not always cooperated for the Three Forks High School Golf team, the Wolves have produced some big-time results when they have competed. 7 Montana High School Class B 145-pound State Champion Dylan Kamps is not done with his wrestling career. Kamps signed a letter of intent last Wednesday to wrestle for Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Kamps was the first TFHS wrestler to sign a letter of intent to compete in college following the return of the program six years ago. The Wolves shined on April 11 at the Butte Area Meet and found a great deal of success competing in Belgrade and Cheney, Washington, on April 15. Propelled by a huge second inning, the Three Forks High School Softball team won their second game of the season last Tuesday with a 15-2 home win over visiting Deer Lodge. The Three Forks High School Softball team picked up the first win in program history with a thrilling 10-9 walk-off victory over visiting Ennis. Both teams played well with some early season jitters coming through but perseverance paying off.
