Bikes for Books rewards readers

Each year the Three Forks Masonic Lodge #73 encourages local students to read with their Bikes for Books program.

This year a total of 12 students were chosen as winners at the annual Bikes for Books assembly.

Mel Hamilton of the Masonic Lodge said the program started small several years with two or three students receiving bikes and has grown to the point that this year they were able to choose six students to win bikes and six to win Amazon Fire Kindles.

Hamilton discussed the importance of the reading program which he said has become very popular.
