It was just what you would expect from a rivalry matchup between the Three Forks and Manhattan High School volleyball teams.
The two squads battled to five sets last Thursday in Three Forks, with the Lady Wolves falling just short in the 11-25, 26-24, 25-15, 11-25, 15-7 setback.
Head Coach Tracy Welter said she was very proud of how the team bounced back after the first set.
“We battled harder than we have all season, and the rotation and girls are really starting to click. Even though it was a loss, I'm very excited to see us carry over our enthusiasm for the rest of our season. We served very aggressively and our offense really began to click,” she said.
Addi Pestel had a big night for the Lady Wolves with 38 digs and 16 aces. Macie Jensen had 18 digs, 12 assists, and five aces. Aubree Waldbillig added 25 digs. Jasmyn Murphy and Maddi Niles each had seven kills. Savanah Jensen finished with 15 assists
Three Forks will next compete September 17 vs. Townsend.
