The Three Forks High School cross country team showed they are becoming one of the premier Class B programs with two top-five team finishes at last week's State Meet at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell.
The boys team finished in third place behind state champion Lincoln County and runner up Manhattan. The girls team ended the day in fifth place.
Head Coach Tara Forsberg said she was incredibly proud of her team.
"Our girls team just keeps getting better each year. The boys have worked so hard and are so happy having a trophy. It has been so fun watching them this year. The Wolves are a happy team today," she said.
Garrett Golding had the top finish for Three Forks in the boys race with a time of 18:46.42. Bryon Fanning was just behind at 18:52.14, and Beau Johnston finished at 18:56.23. Anthony Deriana had at a time of 19:48.66, Gabe Hungerford finished at 18:48.66, Devon Potts finished at 20:27.54, and Jaron Berg ended the race at 20:29.61.
On the girls, side, Jayden Woodland placed 13th with a time of 21:59.95. Others competing for the Lady Wolves were Kodee Kolberg (22:54.09), Zandra Potts (23:55.01), Lily Jones (24:01.38), Rylee Dell (25:50.64), Kinzee Howie (25:55.93), and Ari Judd (26:11.26).
