The Three Forks School District #J24 received four applications for the open Superintendent position and the school board and administrative team met Wednesday evening to screen the applications. The team selected two finalists that will take part in interviews on March 1st. The finalists are:
● Rhonda Uthlaut - Jefferson City, Missouri
● Nick Schumacher - Plevna, Montana
The schedule for the interviews is below. Community members are invited to attend the community forum that will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday in the school cafeteria. Those interested may attend in person or virtually via Facebook Live.
The District has provided a brief bio below for each candidate.
Superintendent Finalists:
Rhonda Uthlaut - Jefferson City, Missouri
-Rhonda Uthlaut is currently serving as the Missouri Director of School Improvement at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Jefferson City, Missouri. She has worked in this capacity since November of 2020. Rhonda previously served as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for Belton School District No.124 in Belton, Missouri. Rhonda served in that capacity for 3 years. She also served as Principal at Grace Early Childhood Care and Education Center in Belton for 14 years. Altogether, Rhonda has served in education for over 30 years, 10 of those as an elementary school teacher.
Nick Schumacher - Plevna, Montana
-Nick Schumacher currently serves as the District Superintendent for the Plevna School District. Nick has held this position since 2018. Prior to his experience in Plevna, Nick was the K-12 Principal for the Copper River School District in Glennallen, Alaska. This was a 1-year position. Mr. Schumacher also served as the 9-12 Assistant Principal in Galena, Alaska for 2 years. He was also the Intern Superintendent for the Galena School District during that time. Mr. Schumacher was also a HS science teacher for 7 years in Iowa, where he also spent some time as an assistant football coach.
