'Three Forks Lunch Ladies' win statewide photo award

Throughout the school year, the "Three Forks Lunch Ladies" work hard to provide nutritious and delicious meals to students. They were recently recognized for their efforts during Luau Day at the school, with a second-place finish in the creative nutrition category for the MT School Eats Photo Contest.

With some tough competition throughout the state, the ladies were very excited to hear of the $250 award, especially in their first year of submitting a photo in the contest.

"The competition was pretty stiff, so it's quite an honor to have ours picked for second. Luau Day has been a tradition for around 15 years as we like to give staff and students a bit of sunshine in February. The kitchen staff dresses up, and we decorate the serving line to complete our theme," the Three Forks Lunch Ladies said in an email.

The $250 prize will go towards equipment in their new kitchen.
