By this time next month, area residents will be able to enjoy the benefits of a full-service eye care center in Three Forks.
Gallatin Valley Vision, currently located in Bozeman, is set to open a Three Forks location at 9 E. Birch on November 1st.
Dr. Jessica Lemons and her family moved to Three Forks a year and a half ago, and to be closer to where the kids go to school, they started searching out an option for a local location.
After purchasing a building in January, her husband started remodeling in July. The new location plans to begin advertising for bookings as soon as this week.
"We are on schedule to start seeing patients in November," Lemons said.
Much like the location at the Gallatin Valley Mall, Lemons said they are a full-service clinic with optical, exams for glasses and contacts, and routine medical exams. Lemons added it is essentially an across-the-board service where people can come and get their exam, pick up their glasses, and they will also do repairs and adjustments.
Lemons will be working for the time being at both clinics, but her ultimate goal is to be in Three Forks full time and to hire a doctor to work in Bozeman.
Being able to assist Three Forks residents is also huge for Lemons.
"I am super excited to be able to take care of the people I live with," she said.
With other Three Forks based health care services but no eye-care clinic, Lemons said that is one of the reasons she feels they can do well here.
"It will be really nice for people to be able to not go to the big city if they don't have to, and I'm super excited about that," she said.
With soon-to-be two locations, one thing that Lemons said really makes Gallatin Valley Vision unique is that they literally take all major vision insurances and well as Medicare and Medicaid.
Lemons said whatever insurance people have, they should be able to take it, and if they get new insurance, they won't have to change doctors.
The Three Forks location of Gallatin Valley Vision will be open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. With extended hours in Bozeman, Lemons added that if someone needed to pick up something on a Saturday, they could have it shuttled over the location in the mall.
With the new location, Lemons plans on having a lot of similar products but also plans to expand her inventory.
