The boys team ended the year the 2021 season with a second-place finish at the State Meet in Missoula, while the girls team finished fifth.
Wolves Head Coach Tara Forsberg was recently recognized by her peers for the success of the rising program. Forsberg was named the 2021 Montana Coaches Association Coach of the Year for Class B Boys Cross Country.
Forsberg was shocked when she found out about the award and praised the collaborative effort from each coach on the staff.
"We each have different strengths that we bring to the table but are like-minded in our coaching tactics and ideas," said Forsberg. "Our athletes are a very hard-working and close-knit group which helps the program grow. We will continue to keep our team focused on their goals and smart training and see what next year brings."
Forsberg will be honored at the 2022 MCA Awards Ceremony scheduled for July 28 at 11:30 a.m. at CMR High School in Great Falls.
