Several file for County races

With around six weeks till the March 24 deadline, there has been little movement from candidates planning to run for open Gallatin County Offices.

Incumbents have dominated the early filings with Sheriff Dan Springer, Auditor Erin Cox, Clerk and Recorder Eric Semerad, Justice of the Peace (Department 1) Rick West, Justice of the Peace (Department 2) Bryan Adams, and Superintendent of School Matthew Henry have all filed to run in the May 3 election.

Jennifer Boyer is the lone candidate to file for the six-year Gallatin County Commission District Two Position.

No candidates have filed yet for County Attorney of Treasurer.

Incumbent Christian Potts is the lone candidate to have filed for the open seat on the Three Forks School Board.
