Rockin' the Rivers this week at the 'Bridge'

Later this week, music enthusiasts across Montana will make their way to the "Bridge" near Three Forks for the 21st annual Rockin' the Rivers Music Festival.

The popular local event is scheduled to take place from August 11 to 13. The 2022 lineup includes Daughtry, Don Felder, Extreme, Buckcherry (see page 10), Quiet Riot, Scott Stapp of Creed, Vixen, Jefferson Starship, Limeberlost, and Dorothy.

In an interview last week, Festival Office Manager Jodie Pettit said things have been extremely busy leading up to the festival, adding positive feedback about this year's lineup and ticket sales.

"It should be a great year," Pettit said.

With a wide variety of rock and roll acts, Pettit is excited about this year's lineup.

"It's excellent, and it fits all genres and all ages," she said.

Now in its 21st year, Pettit said, one of the best parts of Rockin' the Rivers is the people who continually come back year after year for a reunion-type experience and camaraderie. Pettit added those in attendance come from not only Montana, but from numerous nearby states.

She also encouraged those who have never been to make the trip to the "Bridge."

"It is so fun. Personally, I just like to sit back and listen to the music, and people watch," she said.
