Clarkston Firefighters were paged to a wildland fire on Saturday, August 13, at 5:21 p.m.
According to a social media post from Clarkston Fire Service Area # 6, the fire was actively burning in trees and grass with structures threatened.
"Thanks to the hard work of our crews and our mutual aid partners, the fire was contained at around 75 acres with one unoccupied structure destroyed and no injuries," states the post.
Clarkston Fire officials gave huge thanks to their mutual aid partners, including Three Forks Volunteer Firefighters, Willow Creek Fire Department, Manhattan Volunteer Fire Department, Amsterdam Rural Fire, Gallatin Gateway Fire Department, Central Valley Fire District, Montana DNRC, and Gallatin County Sheriff's Office. They also thanked everyone who helped out and for their vigilance in spotting the fire and calling it in.
