On Saturday, September 10th, the Three Forks FFA Chapter spent the day picking potatoes for Martin Kimm outside of Manhattan. While there we learned about parent plants, families and generation one potatoes. That is where the potatoes we eat get their start. We got to talk and learn from past FFA officers and got to talk to State FFA Alumni. We want to thank Martin Kimm and his family for giving us this opportunity to learn more about Ag, connect with other FFA members, and help in our community.
On Monday the Three Forks FFA Chapter went to the District Leadership Seminar in Belgrade. While there we attended workshops on professionalism, communication, FFA Knowledge, S.M.A.R.T goals, friendship, the importance of history, and teamwork.
We also met over 200 kids from 14 different chapters around Southwest Montana District while playing games, line dancing, and doing different team activities.
