It will be a busy week for the Three Forks High School volleyball team.
After a home game Tuesday, September 20, against Boulder, the Wolves will be on the road on September 22 at Whitehall and on September 23 against Manhattan Christian.
"This next week for us is going to be more about our attitudes, effort, and mental toughness. We have three matches in five days, so it's going to be a gut check week. Which will be great. It really gives us the feel of tourney time. A lot of games in a little amount of time," Head Coach Shann Mack said.
In conference action last week, Three Forks fell in their home opener to Townsend 25-11, 25-15, 25-21.
"We knew opening with Townsend was going to be a big challenge. They are incredibly talented and well-coached. Regardless, the atmosphere in our gym was amazing, and our student section did a great job being loud and giving us energy," Mack said.
The Wolves ended the week with a fifth-place finish Saturday at the Coaches Classic at Huntley Project with wins over Forsyth and Columbus.
"We definitely had some very good moments and wins, but there were some dips in our play. This tourney boasts the toughest teams in class B, so you have to be pretty mentally tough to continually win at Huntley," said Mack. "Tanaya Hauser was absolutely amazing for us in the middle. She works so hard and continually gets better and better every day. Morgan (Carr) had a great day. She continues to better the ball as best she can, and we had so many refs compliment her hands and touch on the ball. That's pretty exciting, considering this is only her second-year setting. Addie Pestel was our rock in the back row, and she continues to shine as a leader every week."
