Later this week, the Three Forks High School football team will wrap up the 2022 season with a road contest at Jefferson High School in Boulder.
Friday's game will be the last of the high school careers for the senior class players, who Head Coach Connor Sullivan said is a great group of kids with character.
"We strive to be 'men of character' at this level. Like I have said, that's what is most important. We want to win and will do everything we can to do that. But moving forward in the future, I hope these seniors leave this program with something of value that they learned while playing this game," said Sullivan. "These seniors have laid a great foundation for these younger kids to build off of. Hard work works; in the short run, you get what you get, but in the long run, you get what you deserve. I can't thank these seniors enough for their hard work, dedication, and commitment."
The five senior members on the 2022 roster are Cory Potts, Reid Woodward, Parker Prentice, Ezekiel Miller, and Kamden Carr.
In their home finale last week against Manhattan, Three Forks fell 50-6 to rival Manhattan.
After falling behind 22-0 in the second quarter, the Wolves scored with 1:38 left in the half on a 12-yard run from quarterback Tallyn McCauley.
Sullivan said he thought the team competed well in the first quarter.
"We got stops on defense and were moving the ball successfully on offense. We had opportunities in the first half that we didn't take advantage of going into halftime," he said.
