Ambulance Service hosting fundraising dinner

A Drive Thru BBQ Chicken Dinner next week will raise money for the Three Forks Area Ambulance Service.

The proceeds from the donation-based fundraiser scheduled for Thursday, December 8 at 4 p.m. at the Ambulance Barn at 2 East Hickory will help pay for EMS Training Classes. The meal includes a chicken sandwich, coleslaw, and chips.

The fundraiser will be critical for the service that needs additional volunteers and will help offset the $1,800 cost of an EMS training class.

TFAA Board member Barbara Mutter has not only seen a drop in local numbers but said it is happening across the Treasure State. She is hopeful new residents will recognize that Three Forks does not have services on every corner, they rely on volunteers, and she is hoping this will encourage them to join.

"I really think we have a wonderful town. We just need more people who want to serve the community," said Mutter. "We need people who want to help others because it is the best thing to do for the community. "We need a couple of community members to step up to keep our doors open. Getting more volunteers is absolutely necessary,"

Event organizers also wanted to thank the food sponsors Iron Horse Café and Pie Shop, Frontier Club, and the Willow Creek Café and Saloon. They also thanked event sponsors Cowgirl Creativity, Three Forks Voice, Lewis and Clark Journal, and others who wish to remain anonymous.
