The Three Forks High School Girls' Basketball team will be looking to get their second conference win of the season with 5B matchups this week on January 6 at Manhattan and January 7 against Townsend.
The Wolves picked up two wins in December, the first a 40-31 victory over Fairfield on December 10 and the second a 46-45 conference win on December 16 at Whitehall.
"I think some of the positives from the first part of our season was just getting a feel for the chemistry of the team, watching leaders emerge and how they encouraged and helped the younger girls," said Head Coach Lacy Noble. "There was some growth and more mature play starting to come from the younger girls. The girls showed a little more patience on offense, and their shot selection was really good. I like the looks and shots we are taking."
With two 5B games on consecutive nights, Noble knows it will be a big weekend for the team.
"We are still really working on our game, just concentrating on getting better together and knowing each other's strengths. We need a little more confidence offensively. The other thing we have been working on is starting out the games a little more aggressively. Our second halves have seemed to pull us through, and we need to be ready to go from tip-off. Hopefully, the girls are hungry for a win this weekend," she said.
