The Three Forks High School boys’ basketball team will be riding a three-game win streak when they open the 2023 portion of their schedule with a road game on January 6 at Manhattan and a January 7 home matchup against Townsend.
The Wolves (3-3, 3-0 5B) ended 2022 with a 50-39 win at Whitehall and home wins 55-50 over Big Timber and 68-46 against Jefferson. In the December 20 win over the Panthers, Three Forks had a huge second quarter outscoring the visiting Panthers 28-7.
Head Coach Terry Hauser said it was great to go into the break with three consecutive conference wins.
“Our defense has been amazing so far, and I have to give a shout-out to Coach Palmer (Tyler), who prepares them daily on the defensive end,” said Hauser. “The kids are working so hard, and this has made them improve a ton. I am very proud of them for their effort so far.”
With two weeks of practice to prepare for the upcoming 5B games, Hauser said they spent the first work improving on what they already have installed and adding a little more.
He added this week, they will start preparing for two talented conference opponents.
“We are all three at the top of conference standings, so it should be a great weekend of basketball,” Hauser said.
