Virginia A (Ginny) Crowley Sullivan passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022 after a short illness. Ginny was born in Bozeman, MT on September 30, 1939 to Bill and Mary Jane Crowley. She was the second of four children and grew up on a ranch in Logan, MT. She graduated from Three Forks High School and then went to Western Montana College and graduated with a degree in education. She and her husband, Allan Hopper, moved to California where she taught school in Mountain View. She later worked as an administrator for GE and Dow Jones.
Ginny married Ken Sullivan in 1990 and they moved to Soquel, CA. Ginny was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, she loved to drive to the village and walk on the beach, she loved to hang out with friends and family at Cafe Cruz. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and a warm and welcoming hostess who made everyone feel at home. She was a kind, sweet gentle person whose warm smile and generous nature will be missed.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Ken; two daughters: Brenda (Diane Barton) Hopper and Barbara (Larry) Chambers; grandchildren: Karen (Aaron) Loving, Brian Chambers and Keith (Katie) Chambers; great-grandchildren: Averie, Reagan and Parker Chambers; a brother, Bill (Ellen) Crowley; a sister, Carole (Gus) Wanner; a nephew, Jeff (Patty) Howard. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Lou (Steve) Houser.
A funeral mass will be held January 14, 2023 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 435 Monterey Ave, Capitola. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association.
