It will be a historic day on March 28 for Three Forks High School when the Lady Wolves Softball open their inaugural season with home games against Manhattan, with varsity scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and junior varsity to follow at 5 p.m.
"We are getting more excited as we get closer. I am really hoping to see girls beaming with pride and thankfulness to be representing Three Forks High School on the softball field come the 28th. Many of these girls have been praying and hoping for this to happen for years, and here we are, less than two weeks away from it becoming a reality," said Head Coach Clay Feliciano.
This first squad in school history has 16 players, including three juniors, five sophomores, five freshmen, and three eighth graders. Feliciano will be joined by assistant coaches Madison Mahoney, Peyton Page, and Alyssa Sylvia.
"All of the girls have played softball at some time in the past. We have a few girls that have played a decent amount of travel ball in the summers, which benefits us greatly. We also have several girls that have played many consecutive seasons of recreational ball. They are all eager to continue learning and excited to be the first team in program history," Feliciano said.
The members of the 2023 team are Fallon Page, Sierra Schall, Eva Parker, Hadley Fallang, Karlie McDermott, Tycie Davis, Grace Kluin, Sierra Lindquist, Nova Ervin, Aislynn Gifford, Brooke Crowe, Cherish Allen, Maycee Church, Ada Rae Thomas, Arabella McCauley, and Irene Mowry.
