2023 Montana High School Class B 145-pound State Champion Dylan Kamps is not done with his wrestling career.
Kamps signed a letter of intent last Wednesday to wrestle for Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Kamps was the first TFHS wrestler to sign a letter of intent to compete in college following the return of the program six years ago.
Kamps found out about the school through a friend from Columbus who is currently attending the school.
"I took a visit down there, and loved the kids and coaching staff," said Kamps. "I'm pretty happy and ready to get out of the snow. We had an extended winter this year, so it's going to be nice to be down there."
To Kamps, winning a state title in his senior year was more than he could have asked for.
"The support of the community and to be able to cap my senior season and time in Three Forks with a state title was pretty awesome," he said.
Three Forks High School Wrestling Head Coach Nye Howey said Kamps had come a long way in his wrestling career.
"To sign for college, it's pretty exciting to see," Howey said.
