City of Three Forks gets final approval on $75,000 grant for Headwaters Trail System Extension

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks announced last week that the City of Three Forks will receive a $75,000 federal Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant to be used for Phase One of the Headwaters Trail System Extension.

According to the Project Overview, the asphalt trail will be located on the abandoned Milwaukee Railroad between Three Forks and Logan.

36 trail organizations, communities and various land-managing agencies throughout Montana will receive federal Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant awards for their projects in 2023.
