The Three Forks High School Tennis team is the 2023 Southeast Division Champions.
With the first-place finish at last week's tournament in Billings, six Wolves will compete at the state tournament scheduled for May 24 to 27 in Great Falls.
Three Forks finished with 43 points, followed by second place Townsend with 40, Jefferson with 34, and Red Lodge with 26.
Ali Kotter finished in third place in singles play, and Malia Eriksson finished in fifth place. In doubles action, Alicia Deriana and Ruby Warden finished in third, and Maddie Griffiths and Karin Williams finished in fourth.
Three Forks also earned points for the title with wins in singles play by Sophie Meskimen and Sarah Christman.
Head Coach Janna Lauver said it was a long and challenging two days of tennis and many hard-fought matches.
"Coach Kinzee (Howey), Coach Katie (Hayder), and I couldn't be prouder of how the entire team played. Three years ago, we had this young team with the now assistant coaches as senior teammates. We told the now Juniors and Seniors that they were going to be a force to reckon with, and they showed up and laid it all out on the court," Lauver said.
