A fantastic inaugural campaign for the Three Forks High School Softball team ended at last week’s Western B/C Divisional Softball Tournament.
After a 7-1 opening-round loss to St. Ignatius/Arlee-Charlo, the Wolves (8-10) bounced back with an impressive 10-5 win over Lincoln County High School (Eureka). Three Forks was eliminated from the tournament after an 8-6 loss to Thompson Falls.
“What an amazing season. I am beyond proud of every one of the girls, coaches, and the program as a whole,” Head Coach Clay Feliciano said.
According to Feliciano, the opening game loss was to the number-one-ranked team in the state, and the win over Eureka was the third over the Lions.
“Our final game was an exciting one. We went back and forth with Thompson Falls but fell two runs shy of punching our ticket to state in the first season in Three Forks history,” Feliciano said.
