There is a new member of the Three Forks City Council.
The governing body voted 4-0 last week to appoint Roxi McDermott to the Council. McDermott will take over the position of longtime council member Debra Mickelberry who resigned earlier this month.
Before the vote, Council President Gene Townsend said McDermott has worked for nine years at First Security Bank, where she is the bank manager. Council member Ed Tharp said McDermott would be a good fit on the Council.
According to Townsend, McDermott will fill the term of Mickelberry, which is up for election in November.
