Mabel Mae McDonald

Mabel Mae McDonald, age 93 of Three Forks, MT, entered into God's Kingdom on August 7, 2023. She was born November 28, 1929, to Fred and Dora Hautier in Cameron, MT.

She graduated from Madison Valley High School in 1948. Mae then traveled to visit her sister Kay in California where she met Holly J. McDonald. They were later married in Nevada. They moved to Virginia Beach, VA where they worked and raised their family. Mae was proud of her 23 years of working in Government Civil Service.

Upon retiring in 1991, Holly and Mae returned to her beloved Montana. They choose Three Forks to make their final home.

Mae was always one to stay busy! Bowling was her passion. Active with her church and Rebekah's. She loved to help others and volunteered at Three Forks Museum and The Depot.

Friends and family looked forward to Mae's raspberry jam, crocheted dish towels, cloths as well as handmade Christmas gifts.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, sisters Kay and Gene, and brother Jackie.

Mae is survived by daughter Charlotte, sons Curtis and Carl, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held August 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will be at 1:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Three Forks.
