Gallatin County residents asked to fill out jury summons questionnaire

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to fill out and return jury summons questionnaires.

There are currently over 3,600 outstanding jury summons that must be send back to the District Court. These are used for the year's jury pool. If these do not get returned, a deputy is required to personally serve these to you to get them completed. This is a huge burden on the GCSO, utilizes valuable resources, and significantly hinders our justice system by delaying trials. It may also get your neighbors wondering why a deputy is at your doorstep.
