Headwaters Area Food Bank releases "wishlist" items for Thanksgiving food boxes

With Thanksgiving next month, the Headwaters Area Food Bank in Three Forks has released a “Wishlist” of items for holiday boxes distributed to residents.

In her second Thanksgiving as Operations Manager, Emily Smith said she is always so touched by the community’s generosity. Smith hopes to have at least 60 hams/turkeys in 2023.

This year’s list includes turkey/turkey breasts, hams, canned yams/sweet potatoes, stuffing mix, crispy fried onions, pie crust, Jell-O, canned pineapple, and turkey gravy.

“The items on the list are of utmost importance. Our boxes include everything you need to make a meal and have been carefully curated over the years to include food items that our neighbors enjoy most for Thanksgiving,” Smith said.

Donations can be dropped off at the food bank located at 216 1st Avenue W. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Smith added if those times do not work, please call the foodbank at 406-285-3559 to arrange a time.
