The Three Forks High School Volleyball team had its season come to an end at last week's 5B District Tournament in Manhattan.
The fifth-seeded Wolves fell in the opening round of districts on October 26 in a thrilling five-set match against fourth-seeded rival Manhattan. After the Wolves won the first set 25-21, the Tigers would battle back and win the following two sets, 25-18 and 26-24.
Three Forks stormed back in fourth, winning emphatically, 25-14. Playing on their home court, Manhattan would win in the fifth set, 15-11.
After the match, Three Forks Head Coach Tiffany Lynch said playing Manhattan this season has been a battle each match.
"We knew when we got here it was not going to be a three-and-out match. We were going to have to show up and play good, and we did. We had a lot of girls show up and play really well. We just needed to finish," Lynch said.
The highlight of the Wolves opening round match was the 25-14 victory in the fourth set.
"I loved it. We had some amazing moments and some amazing sets. We just needed to put it all together," Lynch said.
Kylie Rowan finished with 18 assists and five digs, and Eva Parker had three kills and three blocks. Mikayla Lear finished with 12 kills and five blocks, and Olivia Whitesitt had six kills and one dig. Kylee Reichman finished with one ace, block, and dig, and Fallon Page finished with seven digs and two kills.
Arabella McCauley had ten assists, three digs, one block, and one kill. Ali Kotter had one dig, and Paige Lien finished with three digs and one kill. Madelyn Tesoro finished with 14 digs, three aces, and one kill. Natalee Hayder finished the match with 10 digs, five kills, and four blocks. Kennedy Rogers finished with three digs and one ace.
Three Forks was eliminated from the tournament on October 27 after a five-set loss against Ennis.
