It was a busy weekend of action with plenty of mat time for the Three Forks/Ennis High School Wrestling team.
Following a packed weekend of wrestling at the Jim Street Mining City Duals in Butte and the Whitehall Duals, Wolves Head Coach Nye Howey was pleased with the team’s performance at both events.
Howey said in Whitehall, some of the wrestlers were able to move into leadership roles, and the team got a lot of experience, with some kids getting as many as six matches.
Howey was also pleased with the team’s performance in Butte and said the scores in dual matches in both locations did not always show how good they wrestled, with the squad having to forfeit many matches.
“We made a lot of progress over the weekend,” Howey said.
With the team heading this weekend to compete at the CMR Classic in Great Falls, Howey hopes the experience the team has gained to start the season will pay off.
