Dear Parents of Three Forks High School Students:
We would like to invite you to attend an informational evening about our Advanced Placement and Dual Credit Programs on Thursday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Library.
As students have received their registration materials, they will need to make some important decisions about the classes they will take next year. Most of the Advanced Placement classes and some of the dual enrollment classes have prerequisites that require even freshmen and sophomore students to carefully consider their course selection.
We have found that parents appreciate the opportunity to hear about the benefits of Advanced Placement and Dual Credit programs as well as to ask any questions they might have about long-range planning for their student's success. Currently, Three Forks High School offers AP Literature, AP Calculus, and AP Environmental Science. AP Literature also can be taken as a Dual Credit class through Gallatin College.
In addition, we have dual credit classes which include Professional Communication and Ac-counting. For the 24-25 school year, the Career Technical Education (CTE) department may also offer new dual enrollment classes in Global Cuisine, Advanced Foods, and Welding. Some of these classes are particularly suited for students seeking a two-year degree at a community or technical college.
While the exact classes we will offer next year may change due to demand and staffing, these classes, both Dual Credit and Advanced Placement, offer substantial savings to families in college tuition costs. They also benefit students by providing a rigorous curriculum that eases the transition from high school to postsecondary education.
We would love to see you there!
