Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park to host Earth Day trail repair event

Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park will host an event next month bringing together volunteers to repair trails and manage weeds at the park in connection with Earth Day.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 20. Volunteers who wish to participate should arrive at the campground pavilion near the lower visitor center at 8:15 a.m.

Volunteers and park staff will be repairing the park's damaged and winter-worn trails, as well as removing invasive weeds to keep the park healthy and easy to use. No experience is needed, and the park will provide some equipment, as necessary. If volunteers have too...
