It was quite the start of the season for the Three Forks High School Softball team.
The Wolves scored two runs in the first, three in the second, and eight in their third on their way to a 15-0 victory over Ennis. The game was called after three innings due to the MHSA mercy rule.
Three Forks senior Fallon Page had a remarkable day on both the mound and behind the plate. Page did not allow a hit over the three innings and finished with seven strikeouts. On offense, Page added two hits and 4 RBIs.
“The team came out incredibly focused and determined. Offensively, we hit well from top to bottom,” Head Coach Clay Feliciano said.
Offensive highlights listed by Feliciano were Grace Kluin going 3 for 3 with a triple, Sierra Lindquist getting a second-inning home run, and Maycee Church finishing with a triple, single, and three runs.
Three Forks will next play on April 2 when they host Butte Central. Varsity is scheduled for 3 p.m., and junior varsity will follow at 5 p.m.
The Wolves will travel on April 9 for a varsity matchup in Anaconda and compete on April 12 and 13 at a tournament in Missoula.
