The Three Forks High School Golf team had two top-ten finishers at last Thursday’s season-opening tournament on April 4 at the Florence-Darby Invitational.
According to Head Coach Aaron Harkins, the girls’ team ended up in third place, which also matched Ari Judd’s individual place.
“Ari finished with a 90, and although there were a few shots she wished she had back, we were very pleased overall,” Harkins said.
Claire Van Vleet finished with a 125, Paige Lien ended her round at 130, and Kennedy Rogers finished at 160.
On the boys’ side, Harkins said Hunter Feddes led the way with an 85 and took home ninth place after winning a four-man chip-off.
Other scores for the boys were Devon Long with a 95, Tallyn McCauley with a 101, and Carson Woodland finishing at 107. Harkins added that, unfortunately, Trey Miller could not finish due to illness.
“I think we saw some good things from the boys and also some things we need to work on in hopes of getting at least three or four guys in the 80’s and 90’s,” Harkins said.
The Wolves will next compete in Livingston on April 11.
“It was great to get out and compete against other teams instead of just each other and practice, and this first tourney definitely gave us some positives and some things to work on and through as we move forward. Hoping for some good weather as we prepare for the Livingston meet,” Harkins said.
