Could you please provide some background about yourself?
My name is Dr. Hillary Lampers. I am a current Three Forks resident with a daughter in elementary and one in high school. I have been married for 27 years to candidate Ryan Lampers, and we have lived in Three Forks since 2018. I was fortunate to grow up in Montana, most of it in Bozeman where I graduated from Senior High and did two years at MSU before moving to Seattle to pursue education. After obtaining a BS in Natural Health Sciences with a major in Nutrition and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine I have been in patient care since 2007. I currently work at Elevate Health Medical Clinic in Bozeman where I specialize in midlife care of men and women. I am also cofounder with Ryan in our online business StHealthy Hunter and Get StHealthy Events where we focus on education and product development and sales in health, hunting, and the outdoor lifestyle.
Why are you running for the Three Forks School Board?
Growing up in Montana, but having lived in a large city for many years, and traveled the world, I understand how lucky we are to be residents of Montana. Being involved in the community on a level such as the school board would allow me to learn more about what challenges and strengths our community faces when it comes to education. Also Montana is changing at a fast pace and we are being faced with challenges that take a well rounded community to solve.
As a physician my focus has always been the health of the individual and family. The health and performance of the students is a reflection of their home and school environment. When a community has an interest in promoting healthy ways of living, communication, and support everyone benefits. I enjoy learning about other people, their ideas, and feel that I am a good listener and compassionate, with great capacity for solving problems. Programs such as adult education, school lunches, student mental and social health, and health education are areas of interest for me.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve the students and families of Three Forks.
