Could you please provide some background about yourself?
My name is Ryan Lampers, I am a father of two daughters, ages 8 and 15 that both attend the Three Forks School District. A husband of 28 years to my lovely wife Hillary and a resident of Three Forks, Montana for the past 6 years.
As an outdoor enthusiast I've spent much of my life working in the outdoor industry, from the wilds of Alaska to the fishing coast of Washington state to now the hunting industry and education space here in Montana.
As an entrepreneur and owner of several small businesses I've been able to gain a wealth of valuable experience when it comes to working within a budget along with problem-solving work-related issues.
Why are you running for the Three Forks School Board?
Being a member of the school board would allow me to impact the quality of education in this community. It's a chance to advocate for students, teachers, and parents, ensuring their voices are heard in decisions that shape the future of education. Plus, it offers an opportunity to contribute my expertise and passion to improve education in our local area.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
With a rapidly growing community I feel we will be faced with an array of new challenges including the hiring of qualified educators. Budget concerns will also be top priority when it comes to dealing with the challenges facing a growing community.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I believe I would be an effective school board trustee as I possess a combination of life experiences in both my personal and professional life. I believe I can have a strong leadership role when it comes to serving the needs of teachers, students and our local community. Additionally, qualities such as integrity, empathy, and a willingness to listen to diverse perspectives are suited to my way of thinking.
