I'm Travis Short, a candidate for the School Board, residing in Three Forks for over 8 years. My two children are currently attending the elementary school, and my supportive wife, Hollie Short, stands by me.
Why are you running for the Three Forks School Board?
My candidacy stems from a deep concern for our teachers' welfare, particularly regarding their wages. I advocate for a mill levy to secure a 5% wage increase, crucial for teacher retention and hiring.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
Additionally, I aim for transparency, recognizing its importance in fostering community trust. Moreover, I believe the school board should represent both students and the community, as their support is essential for our district's success. If elected, my priorities will revolve around transparency and prioritizing teacher concerns, fostering an environment where voices are heard without fear of repercussions.
