Great day for Wolf golfers at MCHS Invite in Bozeman

The Three Forks High School Golf team had an impressive day on April 16 at the Manhattan Christian Invitational at the Cottonwood Hills Golf Club in Bozeman.

Head Coach Aaron Harkins said the Wolves had the lowest team total for the girls they have had in a while. They were led by Ari Judd, who finished second with an 81.

Paige Lien and Claire Van Vleet shot 105, and Kennedy Rogers finished with a 108.

“With scores like those, I think we have a great chance to make it back to the state tournament, so that is really promising,” Harkins said.

On the boys’ side, Harkins said there were some great scores, with Hunter Feddes finishing with an awesome 80, Carson Woodland finishing with an 87, and Trey Miller shooting an 88.

“That happens to be Trey’s low round of the year and one of Carson’s lowest ever,” Harkins said.

The team was set to finish the week on April 19 in Townsend, but Harkins said after a brutally cold nine holes, the teams collectively decided to call it a day.

The varsity team will next compete on April 25 in Ennis.

“We still have some work to do on both the girls’ and boys’ sides, but we are improving every day, and good things are happening because of it,” Harkins said.
