Madison Buffalo Jump State Park sees sharp increase in visitors

The recently released 2023 Montana State Parks Annual Visitation Report showed an 81.7% increase in visitors at the Madison Buffalo Jump State Park near Three Forks.

The Park had 35,466 estimated visitors in 2023, a substantial increase from 19,518 in 2022. The increase in numbers made the Park the third most visited in Montana FWP Region 3.

After reaching 75,699 estimated visitors in 2021, Missouri Headwaters State Park has seen a steady drop in numbers: 53,669 in 2022 and 33,436 last year.
