In February, Three Forks High School wrestler Cole Rogers captured his third consecutive state title with a pin over Elijah Nose of Laurel in the Class A 120-pound division. Set to compete later this year as a freshman at Western Colorado University; Rogers has one more opportunity to shine at the high school level.
Wrestling for Team Montana, Rogers will compete June 19 and 20 at the 2024 U.S. Marine Corps Junior & 16U Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota, known as the biggest wrestling tournament in the world. Rogers will wrestle in the Junior 132 Pound Greco Division at this year's tournament at the Fargo Dome.
"I'm excited for my last high school tournament ever. It's time to leave it all on the mat," Rogers said.
In 2021, Rogers earned All-American accolades in Fargo with a fourth-place finish in the 100-pound Greco division. Earlier that year, he also achieved All-American status with a sixth-place finish at the UWW Cadet, U15 & Future Nationals Tournament in Wisconsin.
"It's my last time competing with one of my high school coaches, Ryan Henry, and for Team Montana. It will be a memorable experience for sure," Rogers said.
