Area State Parks Hosting Events

It will be a busy weekend of family-friendly events at two state parks in the Three Forks area.

On Saturday, August 3, Missouri Headwaters State Park will host a "Poetry in the Park" event, and on Sunday, August 4, Madison Buffalo Jump State Park will host a Kite Festival.

The Madison Buffalo Jump Kite Festival is scheduled for Sunday, August 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"This event has been going on at the park for several years, but we skipped it last year, and this year, we hope to make it bigger and better than before," Recreation Ranger Sarah Lilly said.
