Former President Trump to campaign at rally in Gallatin County

Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump will host a rally later this week in Gallatin County.

The 45th President and current Republican nominee for the 2024 election, Trump, will campaign alongside U.S. Senate Candidate Tim Sheehy at an event scheduled for Friday, August 9, at 8 p.m. at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.

"Montana stands with President Donald J. Trump, and I'm proud to stand strong with President Trump in the fight to save America," Sheehy said about the event. "We look forward to campaigning together to deliver a commonsense message to Montanans: We must defeat inflation, seal our border, end illegal immigration, and stop taxing tips for Montana workers."

In a release, the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office said they are working diligently with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and peaceful visit on August 9. This includes developing a comprehensive Incident Action Plan (IAP) with the assistance of Gallatin County Emergency Management.

Collaborating law enforcement agencies include Montana State University Police, Bozeman Police Department, Belgrade Police Department, Montana Highway Patrol, Montana Department of Criminal Investigation, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Police, Madison County Sheriff's Office, and other first responders.

"Our top priority is the safety of the dignitaries and all attendees at the rally," said Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer. "We are working closely with the U.S. Secret Service and our local and state law enforcement partners to ensure a secure environment for everyone involved."

According to the release, Gallatin County has a proud history of hosting high-profile visits, including those by President Obama, Vice President Biden, President Trump, and Vice President Pence.

"We value our strong relationships with federal partners and are confident in our ability to execute a plan that prioritizes the safety of all," Springer said.

Doors for the event will open at 4 p.m. and general admission tickets are available at https://event.donaldjtrump.com/events/president-donald-j-trump-to-hold-a-rally-in-bozeman-montana.
