This Friday will serve as a wonderful opportunity to get downtown and shop locally.
Three Forks Area Businesses are hosting a Summer Sidewalk Sale on Friday, August 16.
At the sale, businesses will push closeout inventory to the sidewalks, and those in attendance can find deals, discounts, giveaways, and more.
Pam Carey of Legacy Trading, whose business will participate in the sale, said there used to be a similar sale in Three Forks, and after other people brought up the idea, it seemed like a good idea.
"We thought with school starting, it would be a good time for people to come and maybe take advantage of some clearance items," Carey said.
With word about the event getting out, Carey is excited about businesses joining the sale and encourages people to get downtown on Friday.
"Anyone that comes up with something or is part of something like this is excited because it brings vitality to our town. I'd like to see people share and take part. We will be happy to have people come into town and see what we have to offer. This will be a great time to be here," Carey said.
As of press time, other businesses confirmed for the event include the Great Goods Thrift Store (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Headwaters Heritage Museum, and Rusty Bucket Antiques. Please visit the social media sites of area businesses to find out if they will be participating in the event. The sale will be during regular business hours unless otherwise noted.
