Cow Camp Offers Firsthand Experience with Ranching

Youth can learn firsthand about ranching during a fun-filled day Future Ranchers Cow Camp in Toston from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24.

The day’s hands-on activities led by 4-H leaders and Montana Farmers Union staff will be focused on livestock selection, genetics, beef in our food systems, soil health, grazing, and more, with breakfast and lunch provided.

Montana Farmers Union Membership Ambassador Samantha Ferrat is hosting the event on her ranch at 191 Ferrat Lane in Toston, where she and her husband raise Limousin cattle.
